Lewis Tweed is a vibrant new cloth created by Anna Murray.
Anna only uses the finest yarns which she sources in Scotland. Her Tweeds are made in Cashmere, Lambswool, Shetland wool, Silk and Various mixes to produce her Super Soft Tweed.
After Anna has designed the Tweed, the yarn is then hand warped and given to the weaver who ties it into their Hattersley Loom for weaving (this is done by pedal power). This produces the cloth in its unfinished state which is then taken to the mill. To finish the cloth it is washed and shrunk, bringing out the colours and giving the Tweed its exquisite finish.
